Otter has perfected the dual density molding unlike any other mass produced decoy on the market. Molded from high density, expandable polystrene, these solid foam decoys offer a rare combination of durability and superior performance. They are unsinkable, even when hit with stray shot, yet are light weight and easy to carry and handle. Otters are very popular with both open water and pot-hole hunters alike, because they ride rough water without rolling or listing. Yet, on calm days, the slightest breeze will produce maximum life-like movement.
All Otter Decoys are fitted with a removable plastic plug and shipped unweighted. This not only holds down shipping costs, but permits the hunter to vary the weight of the internal ballast according to his own hunting conditions.
Custom paint formulas and painstaking hand spray techniques produce a remarkable effect of realistic coloration. Glare is avoided as well as a lifeless dead-flat appearance.
Otters are larger than life size, geese (22"x9"x10"), magnums, standards (16"x7"x6").
All models have detachable heads, molded with high density resin, with steel-reinforced bills and necks. Attachment is made by means of an eye bolt through the body and a metal wing nut insert molded into the head. Heads can be locked at any desired angle.
